LO2: Rushes re film ep 1
After watching the footage we realised that all the camera settings didn't match the other footage, this made it look slightly un professional. It seemed to appear a bit of an orangey colour which doesn't look much better once colour corrected. Due to the logo on the screen, the reflected light is making the presenters hair look green which once again can not be colour corrected. The sound overall of the footage is patchy and crackly and is becoming more and more difficult to edit as it effects the level of sound. In order to sort the issue we must re film this section to ensure it will be produced to a high standard. The next time we film we will use 3 of the same cameras which shoot 1280x720 which will help continuity and also we will use a more powerful boom mic to pick up sound. There is bound to be some hiss and background noise but when all sound is recorded on the same device, it will be asker to edit as it will all require the same settings.
As the footage we previously recorded failed, we had to do a re film, and this time changing factors such as cameras and lighting. This time we used 3 of the same DSLR cameras in order to make sure that they all had the same ratio which will help the editing software. This time we didn't use any lighting other than natural as it reflects on the posters and makes it not visible because of exposure, we had to turn the TV off and are going to edit the logo onto the screen in post- production. Although not changed on this example of the rushes, we also used a boom mic plugged into a stereo microphone in order to produce a more efficient and better quality sound. The background noise is still present but not as obvious as before, in this case we can now edit the sound and reduce it. The footage is much better than it was before due to the quality, sound and lighting.
